What does a ‘non-re’ stamp on my visa indicate for my multi-entry visa in Thailand?

I arrived via Samui immigration at airport today. I see on my stamp she wrote “non -re”. The date looks correct, is the non-re correct since I have a multi entry stamp that is valid until January?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 'non-re' stamp on your entry indicates that you have entered Thailand on a Non-Immigrant type visa/extension with a re-entry permit. As long as the date is correct and matches your multi-entry validity, there’s no need for concern regarding your entry status.

Correct, that means you entered on a Non-Immigrant type visa/extension WITH a re-entry permit

Nothing to be concerned about at all, you got stamped in just like you should have for the duration of your extension (17th Jan 2026)

I was stamped in yesterday at samui immigration for 60 days with visa exempt entry.

Permitted till date is correct but there is nothing written at the top of the stamp as there normally would be, does that matter or no?

visa exempt they usually either stamp or write ผ.60-ม.17 BUT if they didn't it won't matter at all

Well done to get that "free" second year out of your OA visa (y) (y) 🙂

Great you knew to buy a re-entry permit to keep that new year's stamp 'alive' too 🙂

an OA visa (that you get in your country before you come here) is an unlimited entry visa that gives you a year entry stamp each time you come in (or as long as your insurance is valid for up to a year)

The visa is valid for a year, so if you get NEW yearly insurance and bounce out/back just before the VISA itself expires you get stamped in for a whole new year (or as long as your insurance is valid for up to a year)

Most people on OA visas get 2 years of stay in thailand out of a visa that is valid for one year by doing that.
