Please help to answer this below questions;

My friend will come to Thailand with 30days on arrival then will go to Vietnam to extend tourist visa for 60days

So...

1. What documents do they need to prepare?

2. If they stay with me at my home, do I need to prepare anything?

3. Do they have to show statement?

Thank you for your kindness:)

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend a tourist visa in Thailand, your friend needs to be prepared with specific documentation, including a valid passport, visa application form, a recent photo, evidence of travel (like a plane ticket), and proof of sufficient funds (around 850 USD). If staying at your residence, ensure you have any necessary documents ready, and they may need to show a statement indicating financial stability.

I don't know how long with your friend plans to stay in Thailand. For 60days more, another option is: apply extension for 30days at your local immigration office(need documents far less than applying SETV at consulate), then just go to border bounce (land or air) to get another visa exempt entry for 30 days.

Or applying extension first, get SETV as you described above, then applying extension at local immigration again, goes to 120days plus... just a thought.

Your friend will need:

"Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months

Visa application form completely filled out;

Recent( 4 x 6 cm.) photograph of the applicant;

Evidence of travel in and out of Thailand (e.g. Air ticket receipt paid in full);

Evidence of adequate finance (850 USD per person and 1250 USD per family) for the entire duration of stay in Thailand;

Consular officers reserve the right to request additional documents as deemed necessary."

Your friend may be asked to show 20K THB (or equivalent) in cash on entry as well

However, what is your friend's visa history? They are starting to get strict in the embassies

Maybe your friend better to have a signed copy of your passport and copy of your lease agreement along with your invitation letter just in case... unless you can see clearly you need just invitation letter is enough. In many cases authorised copy is required. Sorry not sure in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh..

So I need a plane ticket out of Thailand, a bank statement that shows I have 20k baht, application form and I need to pay American dollars

Is it enough for my friends?
