Hello,

In a couple of days, I’ll be traveling to Bangkok and using my DTV visa for the first time. I obtained the visa in May 2026.

Could you please advise me on the requirements at passport control/immigration upon arrival, and what documents I should have with me to avoid any hassles?

Does the DTV start from day of issue? So 4 months ago? I'm not familiar with it.

Lynnette Munoz It's valid for 5 years from the date of issue. 180 stamp on every arrival in Thailand. Although you can extend 1 time in country, all reports are this is rather difficult and much easier to leave the country and come back.

wear politely and be confident.

They may ask you to have 20k baht/ or in usd. I always print my DTV e-visa. They may ask how long you’ll stay and the place you’ll go. I did just answer without needing to prove if my answer was true or not.
