What documents and questions should I expect for a DTV Spouse visa interview at the Vientiane Embassy?
Hello everyone,
Has anyone attended a DTV Spouse visa interview at the Vientiane Embassy (Laos)?
I applied as a spouse (dependent) of my husband’s DTV Medical visa (approved in Hanoi).
For interview, the embassy asked me to bring "the original marriage certificate and certified translation (if available)".
May I ask:
What other documents should I prepare?
What questions are usually asked?
For info: I used my own Thai bank account (500,000+ THB for 6 months). I previously stayed in Thailand on ED plus visas attending university for 4 years, already cancelled before coming to Laos.
Any experience or advice is much appreciated 🙏

I have no experience with that embassy or dependent visas, but I think there's a chance they ask where the money came from in your thai bank account. And if you were previously employed in Thailand then they're going to want to confirm you're not going to continue that on the DTV. If it's foreign sourced you might want to bring proof that the funds came from outside Thailand.

Bring all the docs you submitted, prepare to show your bank balance on your phone. You will be asked general questions on your application and the reason for the DTV and your plans in Thailand.
