Has anybody done the DTV visa for medical treatment?
I need to get some demtal implants.
It Takes about 6 months to complete the implant process.
Would one dental implant be enough to get the DTV Visa or do I need to make the treatment longer? Already had consultation with the dentist and they are willing to write a letter and treatment plan.
Thanks.
Also, after reading that new article about the delays, right now, where is the best place to apply for DTV visa?
I saw somebody just got it in Vientiane, Laos, 2 business working days but then I saw someone 3 weeks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the possibility of obtaining a DTV visa for dental work, specifically implants that will take about 6 months to complete. The user seeks advice on whether one dental implant suffices for the visa requirements and the best location to apply for the visa given recent delays, mentioning Vientiane, Laos, as a potential option. Comment responses suggest having a long-term treatment plan for visa approval and emphasize the importance of applying directly from one's home country to avoid complications.
I did Vientiane last Dec ...one of last walk in ...with dental plan for 2 yrs ...periodontal treatment ... it took only 3 days .... provided the Thai Embassy lots of paper work showing my financials, yellow book , my misses letter stating I'm with her . The only question asked was ....re withdrawals for my everyday living expenses ...card statements ...I show Embassy lady my bank transfers into my wifes Thai account and stated I use cash mainly or her card
The best places to apply is from the embassy in your home country. Many DTV holders have been asked why they didn't get their DTV at home on entry. It will make future problems much less likely.
Otherwise I think Hanoi is still the most recommended currently.
