What do I need to do to get a reentry permit for my Non-O visa in Thailand?

Hello, I have a question regarding reentry permit.

I hold a Non O and usually everything visa related, my husband HR takes care of it, including the 90 day report.

It happens that I need to get out of the country for two days and my husband asked his HR about the reentry permit, I took a picture of the visa and sent them, they mentioned I just need to show my passport at the exit and I will be good to get in again, it doesn’t seem the case, because it clearly states in my visa that I need to apply for reentry permit in order to keep my permit valid.

I have no idea how and where to do this once his HR apparently is not aware of it 🤷‍♀️

If you know what to do, could you kindly guide me through?

TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
To maintain your Non-O visa status while temporarily leaving Thailand, you must obtain a reentry permit. You can apply for this permit at Chamchuri Square (OSOS) prior to your travel or at the airport before departure. It's important to have this permit to ensure your visa remains valid upon reentry.

You need a stamp like this, it can be a single entry or multiple entry, check your passport or buy one at local Immigration OR just before departure on airport

Yes, this is multiple entry and can be used to leave and come back into Thailand until 2 jun 2023.

Each entry you make you will get a new stamp with Admitted until 2 Jun 2023.

No need to buy a new permit.

If you really don't have a re-entry permit stamp yet in your passport, yes, you need to get a re-entry permit before you leave. You can apply for a re-entry permit at Chamchuri Square (OSOS) anytime before you travel or at the airport when flying out, by yourself.

Here is the general requirement for a re-entry permit.

You should be able to apply for a re-entry permit at One Start One Stop center on 6th Jan.

The re-entry permit is valid as same as your current extension, so until June 2023.

Check other pages to make sure you really don't have a re-entry stamp.

thanks a lot! It’s of a great help!

I am planning to leave on 9th and come back on the 12th of Jan, can I apply at the immigration office on the 6th? Will it still be valid for those dates?

a single use re-entry permit is valid to leave and re-enter one time until the end of the existing stamp (2 June 2023).
