Hi, i applied for the dtv digital nomad visa. Everything seems fine but the proof of that I can work from Thailand. I send them my work contract that says the employer can work from where he wants. That doesn’t seem to be enough. But when I asked my company they say: it’s written in your contract we can’t give you anything else. What can I do now? Anybody who had similar experiences?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has applied for the Digital Nomad Visa in Thailand but faces challenges proving they can work remotely from Thailand. They provided their work contract, which states they can work from anywhere, but it was deemed insufficient. Comments suggest that they need a specific letter from their employer permitting them to work remotely from Thailand and clarifying that they will not engage with Thai clients. Options include seeking another consulate with relaxed requirements or trying to obtain the necessary documentation from their employer.

They don't need to redo your contract but it is pretty normal for consulates to want a letter from your employer stating that you have permission to work remotely from Thailand specifically, and if it also states you will not interact with any Thai entities or clients inside Thailand so much the better. If the company you work for won't supply this you can try another consulate but don't be surprised to come up against the same problem again

If the Embassy specifically asks for a contract that mentions Thailand and you cannot provide that all you can do is move to somewhere with an Embassy that does not have that requirement and apply from there
