TLDR : Answer Summary
If you find yourself at Singapore Airport between midnight and 8 AM, you have several options to make your time enjoyable. You can consider purchasing lounge access, as Changi Airport offers some of the best lounges in Asia where you can relax. Another option is the Aerotel hotel within the airport, which allows you to book a room for a few hours. If you're looking to unwind, there is a swimming pool available, and you can explore connected terminals via sky trains. However, keep in mind that COVID-19 restrictions may affect access to certain areas and amenities, with some visitors reporting limited options. It's advisable to check the current regulations and available services at the airport.

If you can get out there is a great food market by the water ,10 min in a taxi.

I cannot give specific recommendations without knowing your tastes, except to add that Singapore is a top-class airport, with perhaps the best amenities in the world, including good value luggage storage, a butterfly park and a swimming pool. I don't know of a better airport in the world to be stuck for eight hours.

Sounds like You are in Transit in Singapore ,if that's so then You won't be allowed to leave the transit area but there is a private lounge in that area

FFS! Is this a real question? Ask your Dad? You must be 12 years old, I mean a grown man wouldnt ask a FB group what to do at an airport for 8 hours.

Singapore has recently made some major changes. All I know from when I seen terminal is that it looks empty and closed. Hopefully some
****
or similar will be open.

I would recommend you to check with Changi Airport if they have any information or recommendation. Bar will most likely be closed or close around 22:00 SGT due to current restrictions.

I think it depends if you are vaccinated because I came through two weeks ago vaccinated and was free to go anywhere in the airport. There were very comfortable recliners near the windows you can lay down in and sleep or chill. And a small table with a charging station for a laptop, tablet or phone. You may need to ask where to find them, they were only in one section. Not everything was open but a few coffee shops and little restaurants were. Enough to be comfortable.

buy lounge access and just chill

Transit there yesterday, more shops are open since July but not much food shops, highly suggest you book the hotel at the airport for a few hours

When I went a few years ago wifi was impossible to access due to their terrorist paranoia, hope it’s better now or you have SIM card

I flew through Singapore in September. You put into a holding room with basic food and bathroom access, nothing more. The airport was not open to roam around and no no to lounges or any kind of amenities.

The people commiting here about stuff I think was probably pre covid.

It also worth noting in the entire pandemic that was probably the highest risk environment I had been in. It started with about a 20 minute wait in 2 lines no socially distance on the jet bridge (tiny hall way with no ventilation 🙄) so we can get pointless bracelets... And the ridiculousness didn't end there.

I also passed through in September and experienced that holding pen. Those severe restrictions have been dropped for arrivals from most countries (including those on VTL (Vaccinated Travel Lane) flights.

There are 4 terminals which are connected by sky trains. There is a theatre n also a nice hotel within the terminal so you don’t need to go out

Go to the swimming pool

There is a transit lounge which is ok, but gets crowded, there is also a hotel there and you can stay as many hours as you want, although not cheap. Think its called Aerotel Sing

Get lounge access if you don't already have it. Changi airport has some of the best lounges in all of Asia, on par with South Korea in my opinion.
