TLDR : Answer Summary
There are rumors and concerns circulating about the potential expiration of the Test and Go program in Thailand by the end of the month. However, discussions on various forums reveal no official announcements yet. Some individuals express frustration over the lack of verified sources for the claims, while others speculate that the government may reconsider existing restrictions due to rising COVID-19 cases. It appears the situation is fluid, with government meetings planned to address these issues, but for now, it remains uncertain.

Tpass will stay indefinitely and will probably replace the good old landing card eventually. The way cases are going in Thailand there is no way are they going to scrap the second PCR test.

Government meeting later this week to discuss proposals such as this.At the moment pure speculation

Really? I land in Bangkok almost towards the end of the month. Do I have to take the 5th? Can I leave Thailand after like 3 days?

Don't take this to heart until after it happens. It is just a tip from someone in the know. It is not a gaurantee to happen.
I think the old English saying you are looking for is " Thailands government changes it's mind up and down every day - like a pair of whores drawers ".

What we used to call "tap room gossip ". My rumour is they are running scared due to an increase in infections, and will start to re impose restrictions.European countries are now learning to live with virus - Thailand never.

Well, the west have basically said we give up. Let the chips fall where they may, and hope no more deadlier strains.
Many Asian countries are trying to not lose a single person to something they think they can get a handle on, or outlast, and also not have it be a strain on their various healthcare systems.
(Just trying to be philosophical here.)

Europe has shown them what to do - how long before they do the same . This year, next year ???
They will. But they always wait and see what other countries do first

where did you hear this... got a source? It's really important that if you make a statement like this then back it up with something otherwise we're all just wasting time.... and don't mention The Bangkok Post.
Nothing on the various visa forums as yet. There is pressure from the tourist sector to get the government to scrap the second PCR test and even the ThailandPass system, but weβll just have to wait and see if they act.

I have no issue personally with the first test and short quarantine. If nothing else, it gives some statistics. The 2nd test scenario should change though. Just my 2 cents. Canadian.

Only in your room until you get the result of the arrival (1st) test. Then you are free once you get the negative result.
I am interested to know why the UK locator form will stay ? Is it a means to track and control for the future ? Surely we can all fill in with totaly wrong information - who will know ?
