What area near Kasetsart University in Bangkok did I stay in 8 years ago?

I have an “and everything else” Q: 8yrs ago (2016) I stayed in a hotel on what people are telling me was the backside of Kasetsart University.

All I can remember about the area from that time is the following:

coming off of whatever main road (I believe from JJ Market/Nakhon Chai Air 🚌 ) the 🚖 turned left onto my destination street and almost immediately again turned left. I was surprised at how fast we’d reached.

There was a really nice almost new looking 7-11 tucked off to my right on this soi. It had really nice and clean food stalls where you had to climb up a few stairs as I saw from the back seat to my left, and the strip had lots of nice looking hotels on the right (same side as the 7). Even the 1 I stayed in was perfect and surprisingly quiet given all the night life hustle and bustle on the strip.

It had a decent amount of night foot traffic but nothing near as busy as Soi 11… Although if you walked to the end of the soi and looked right, the man road was but a stones throw away. Someone who frequents BKK more often, please #help! What area of Kasetsart Uni was I in?!… 🤔

I can’t remember the area or the hotel because I’ve had no need to go to Bangkok since then really and I’ve got an English Camp coming up around that area week of the 7th. If I can learn the name of the area, I can probably find the hotel unless of course they’ve been remodeled/bought out. #changeisaconstant

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is trying to recall the specific area near Kasetsart University in Bangkok where they stayed eight years ago, describing features of the location such as a 7-11 store, clean food stalls, and a generally quieter hotel strip compared to busy areas like Soi 11. They seek help in identifying the area and possibly the hotel name ahead of an upcoming English camp.

Try Google Maps and Google Street View is my suggestion. It's like you are walking down a street, and have a 360 view if you wish.

I see three 7-11's at that university area. One two blocks east of the ball field, one next to the swimming pool, and one to the west just on the other side of the freeway that bounds the university. May be that one of the 7-11s is the one you referenced?

No guarantee what you are looking for is still there.Sadly many places including shops and so on closed down during Covid and remained that way

I believe that because I feel like this hotel was very easy to see on Google Pre-covid even if you forgot the name of the hotel or area— oh well 🤷🏾‍♂️

not showing on my Android phone. You might be referring to Street View, which I can access on Google Maps by going to the icon with an image like several layers at the top right and then on the pop-up screen at the lower left is Street View
