I plan on moving my mother and myself to Thailand ( I’m her full time carer) and need visas for both of us long term.
I’m 50 and my mother 71.
Any recommendations for agents??
Thanks so much 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks advice on long-term visa options for themselves and their elderly mother as they plan to move to Thailand. Comments provide insights suggesting that both could apply for Non-O visas based on retirement, recommend obtaining initial 90-day visas, and highlight the importance of opening bank accounts in Thailand. There are mixed opinions on whether to hire a visa agent or opt for an immigration attorney, with personal recommendations for specific agents in cities like Phuket and Chiang Mai.
90 DAY REPORTING RESOURCES / SERVICES
Use the trusted Thailand 90 Day Reporting Serviceto get your in-person report done and mailed to you for as low as 375 THB (even if the online system doesn't work for you).
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
I suggest you pay for immigration attorney and skip the agents. Yeah it’s a few more dollars (not much more) but you’ll actually get proper advice, future planning, questions asked and it will be done correctly. You’ll have a contact to call on for future issues/counsel.
No need for an agent. You can both get non-o visas based on retirement. I'd suggest you get the initial 90 day visas before leaving home then when you get here both open bank accounts and put a minimum of 800k baht in each and once it's there 2 months each get a 12 month extension. When you arrive your first port of call should be the immigration office local to where you live for a hand out listing their requirements
