Hello, Thank you for this great group! I was in Thailand on a 6 month multiple tourist visa which expired in January 2020. I am currently in vietnam and am planning on returning to Thailand in May. I will be entering with a 30 day tourist visa. I am currently working on moving my personal belongings to Thailand, Chiang Mai, as I would like to live there going forward. I am 53 years old. Which would be the best visa for me to use ? An O or O-A ? Also, must I apply for it in my home country ? Any advice/experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks advice on the best visa option for living in Chiang Mai, Thailand, after holding a 6-month tourist visa. They inquire about the Non-O and Non-O-A visas, including application requirements in their home country. Comments suggest that the Non-O visa is preferable for those over 50, with options to apply in Thailand or at a consulate, and note the importance of having sufficient funds for extensions.
