What is the Visa on Arrival Fees as of 25th Sept 2017? And are there any ATMs before VOA counters to withdraw Thai Baht at Suvarnabhumi Airport?

TLDR : Answer Summary
As of September 25, 2017, the Visa on Arrival (VOA) fee at Suvarnabhumi Airport is 2000 Baht. However, there are no ATMs available before the VOA counters for withdrawing Thai Baht.

Okay, I think this post has ran it's course.
I am not gonna keep going round and round about the financial requirements to get into thailand IF (on the rare occasion) you're asked to show them.
The O/P now knows the fees for VOA are 2000baht and they can be asked to show the 3-proof-ofs (funds, lodging, onward travel) by the immigration officer when they buy their VOA and stamp in.

I will weigh in and say people from the 21 countries that buy a visa-on-arrival here are scrutinized far closer than people who come in on 30 day visa exempt entry stamps. The voa people can be required to show all 3-proof-ofz; adequate finances (10K baht), hotel booking and onward travel.

The question asked by the O/P concerns people who BUY a visa-on-arrival here (not a visa exempt entry), let's stick with the amounts listed in the Royal Gazette for visa-on-arrival entries.
Nickunj, definitely make sure you have the 3-proof-ofz when you fly in; 10K baht in cash or traveler's checks, confirmed lodging, onward travel. As I said people entering on a visa-on-arrival are put under far more scrutiny than people entering visa exempt.

I will say that on the RARE occasion the immigration officers at the airports question people entering on a 30 day visa exempt entry they do show a hand out or something stating it's 20K :/ .
BUT they are just making that up. >:(
I had a good thai friend google around and I did too in thai. I couldn't find one thing that supports the immigration officers asking for 20K baht when you enter on a visa exempt entry.
It clearly states in that rule I posted 10K for both visa-on-arrivals and visa exempt entries.

i read in their website for visa on arrival/exempt visa its 10k baht per person and 20k baht for family but was not stated how many members in a family..so it seems that more safer to carry enough... :)

Douglas, I'm pretty sure you don't come in on visa on arrival ;) You buy those for 2000baht when you get here, and for people from the 21 countries that do that, I'm 100% sure the rule is 10K baht.
FWIW: I'm also 100% sure the rule is still 10K baht for a visa exempt entry too no matter what the thai immigration officer trys to tell you or show you on a placard.
Here's the actual thai version of the rule they are enforcing.
I have never been asked to show 20,000... I think that's just excuse to give some poor schmuck a hard time ... Really, who goes to a country to be a tourist with that country's currency.. No ATM before immigration.. Further, I think no VOA, its a a Visa Waiver. The duration of stay depends on your country/passport. I am not sure if the rules are different for visa waiver vs visa regarding proof of funds or accomondations. I would strongly recommend looking at the official websites. This site board is pretty good - not perfect. you get many people here that speak from experience, but their experience will be different from yours. You have others that offer unfounded opinion. But, you also get good information from well informed people. How do you know which is which?

No ATM counters before VOA. VOA fees is 2000 Baht valid for only 15 days for Indian nationals.
