I would like to thank everyone for helping me with my last question, it was massively helpful.
I do have another question about the DTV Visa and onwards flights.
What are the rules and peoples experiences around this?
I'm reading online that it's not necessary with a valid DTV Visa but sometimes airline policy demands one.
Considering whether it's worth booking a cheap onward flight to avoid the hassle.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry relates to the necessity of onward flight bookings when traveling with a DTV Visa in Thailand. Users have shared experiences indicating that while some airlines may require proof of onward travel, it generally depends on the airline's policy rather than visa regulations. It is advisable to check with the airline beforehand to clarify their requirements.
If you fear what the airline policy might be contact them to ask their policy in circumstances such as yours. Do this early and get your reply printed to show at check in if you have any issues.
