TLDR : Answer Summary
The Thai Education Visa (ED) typically does not allow for dependents unless the visa holder is enrolled in a formal degree program at a recognized institution, which must provide sponsorship documentation. Informal educational pursuits, like language schools or training programs, do not qualify for dependent visas. Therefore, prospective ED visa holders should check with their educational institution regarding the specific rules and support for dependents.
I don't know a lot of specifics, but I do know that you cannot have a dependent if you are on an ED visa based on informal education (language school, muay thai, etc).
The only chance for dependent on an ED would be if you are attending a university for a degree program. And then you still need the support of the institution in order to sponsor the visa, as they have to provide paperwork for it. Someone just posted last week that their university would not allow them to sponsor their spouse.
