TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand, you need to apply separately for your newborn as a dependent. The baby will require a passport if not born in Thailand. Key documents include the child's birth certificate, passport, a photo, and financial proof (like a sponsorship letter showing funds). Depending on your nationality, your child may potentially enter visa-exempt. Generally, the application process is straightforward, taking a couple of weeks.

My baby also applied as dependent after we got our dtv. And sponsor letter with detail of her (birth certificate, passport, photo, primary dtv visa of us, financial proof ) .

It took 1 week and now we moved last week.

There is an option to apply for spouse and children under 20 years old. Submit your DTV and the child's birth certificate

Yes, baby needs a passport if not born in Thailand to enter. You apply under dependent of DVT holder. Takes around a month. Very easy.

I admit I don't know if newborns are able to get a passport yet, maybe a birth certificate is ample enough

?

Depending on your nationality the baby could enter visa exempt and overstay with no fines or ban. It appears you're Ukrainian, was the baby born in Ukraine? Failing that, if you apply for a DTV for the newborn you'd need to pay 10,000 baht and the primary DTV holder would submit a sponsorship letter with proof of funds in their bank account. Let's wait for Tod to chime in.

The DTV visa was launched 6 months ago - not sure the 25 years experience is relevant

I don’t understand why you suggest this. She got her Dtv visa she can apply for her kid, without any problems. The only problem is if the embassy is gonna need proof for your kid of 500k bath, depends from the embassy
