Today I arrived at IT square plaza and they asked for Tm30 because I arrived by land. Just to be aware.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the requirement for the TM30 form for individuals entering Thailand by land, specifically at IT Square Plaza. It clarifies that while the TM6 form has been temporarily discontinued for air entry, it is still required for land entry. Users shared their experiences confirming the need for the TM30 and raised questions about the sufficiency of a receipt related to it.

Is a copy of the receipt sufficient?

@Glenn ****
, if your TM30 was submitted at the immigration office in person, usually you will be asked for an original when asked for TM30. If submitted online, copy of screenshot is good enough.

@Glenn ****
no. Must have been filed with Thai Immigration.

I guess that I am confused. I have a copy of my TM30 with an immigration stamp on it. It was done by my landlord. And says Receipt of Notification on the top.

Is there something else I would need?

@Glenn ****
has it been filed with Thai Immigration ? IF it's already on file, nothing to be concerned about when seeking a service from Thai Immigration

Whatโ€™s a TM30
Ellie *******
@Bob ******
, it's titled "NOTIFICATION FROM FOR HOUSE-MASTER, OWNER OR THE POSSESSOR OF THE RESIDENCE WHERE ALIEN HAS STAYED"

Address submission for foreigners when arriving at the facility. Search TM30 in this group for some more information.

Yes, I was there today too and needed it.

Are you sure they didn't ask you for the TM6 <-arrival/departure card because you entered the country by land and they still give them out to land entry?

yes I'm sure I already had the tm6, they explicitly asked me for the tm30...first time I've ever been asked. But I have it ๐Ÿ˜Š just thought I'd mention it here.

@Felix *****
ahh right, good to know

as james said, it's not new they've been asking for a good while at most offices now. Some have signs that say No Tm30, no extension
James ********
That is NOT a change in their requirements for the 30 days extension of stay.

The TM30 is required at both Bangkok Thai Immigration offices.

And we have been advising forum members to have a TM30 on file with ITSquare Laksi Plaza Thai Immigration office and that of CW Chaengewattana Immigration office in Bangkok.

It's the TM6 which has been temporarily discontinued for those who have arrived into Thailand by air.

The TM6 is STILL being issued to those who enter Thailand by land.

is a tm6 acceptable if I don't have a tm30? I'm staying with my gf and the landlord has no idea what a tm30 is, it's a thai apartment building, thanks for any insights ๐Ÿ‘

Well I initially came in on a tourist visa so extended at chang wattana, sonce then I've left Thailand twice and extended once at IT Square Laksi, haven't been asked for a tm30 previously, i notified immigration at the border of my address in Thailand ๐Ÿ‘

@Dave *******
Nope... A TM6 is an arrival card received when you arrive into Thailand.

The TM30 filing is REQUIRED to be filed within 24 hours of your arrival into the residence address you are staying in Thailand.
Dave ********
@James *******
I'm not sure that is correct as I stated my address when I applied for my tourist visa

@Dave *******
IF you got the 30 day extension of stay at your local Thai immigration office, then no problem.

Many if not Most Thai Immigration offices do require a TM30 on file with them.

Which Thai Immigration office did you use?

And that's why I always say ASK your Thai immigration office for their requirements for the 30 days extension of stay.

And it's possible that your hotel or property owner did file a TM30 when you ARRIVED. It's their responsibility. BUT IF they don't, then you can self file IF your Thai Immigration office Allows
