Seasoned Fund(Washington DC embassy) for DTV (soft power)

American applying from the washing dc embassy.

Trying to get some solid information on the seasoned funds of 500000 Baht or $16,000. Can anyone give me some help on this part of the application. At this point my account is at $25000+ but there was a point in July where my account was at $15800(i’ve checked this currently rate and it’s never been anywhere near this that I’ve seen in baht). Do we think this is a problem. I also get VA disability at 100% PT so that’s $4100 a month I’m going to receive the rest of my life as long as I’m breathing.
Answer summary
The application for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) at the Washington DC embassy requires that applicants provide bank statements for the last three months, showing an ending balance of at least 500,000 Baht or $16,000 per month. While it is important for the bank statements to reflect this amount, there appears to be some flexibility, as reported by users who had been approved with slightly lower balances in one statement, provided that the other statements met the requirement. Additionally, documenting stable income sources like pensions can assist in strengthening the application.

I was just approved by DC embassy and I only had the money in my account for 60 days but it was across three statements (July, August, interim September statement September 1-8th). Deposited into savings July 14.

So yeah I think that there is some flexibility. I would still apply.

I applied through the DC embassy and was approved in 13 days. I submitted 4 months of bank statements showing an ending balance equal to or more than 500k baht or around 15,000 to 15,300 usd just depends on the exchange rate and that was just fine

Washington D.C. specifically requires bank statements for the last three months showing an ending balance of at least 500,000 THB or USD $16,000 for each month.

The important part is “ending balance.” Your account does not necessarily have to remain above $16,000 every day. If the ending balance shown on each of your three monthly statements is at least $16,000, you meet the Embassy’s published financial requirement.

If one of the monthly ending balances was $15,800, however, it would technically fall below Washington D.C.’s stated requirement.
