Hello to everyone

first ,

New to this site .

I Could do couple of

Advices .

Has this happened to anyone before ?

I am planning a

Non OA

visa over 50 .

Embassy wants a

Statement thai Bank with 800 k

Or they won t issue it .

The Thai Bank

never allowed

internet banking .

They say ,

Must come in person

to Get one ..

With no Visa seems

Hardly possible ..

Also any tips about insurances ,

6 months or a Year

Reasonable pricing ?

So far I see

Talking 80000 o

And more

Minimum for both ):

Or any one knows one Insurance would cover all at once .

I believe it needs

Two seperates insurances

one covid ,

one required also

for the Non OA .

There is a Thai form

Could be filled by any insurance anywhere ,

Would it be Any cheaper to find Local Thai insurance private ?

Thanks for advices ,

Phil .

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses challenges faced by an expat seeking a Non-OA visa, specifically the requirement for an 800,000 baht bank statement which the Thai bank refuses to issue without the applicant being present in Thailand. The author seeks advice on obtaining insurance that covers both health and Covid-19, and whether local Thai insurance would be more affordable. Comments from the community provide potential solutions, such as using online banking apps for statements, hiring visa assistance firms, and recommendations for insurance providers.

Go to a Visa company for the first time you get a retirement visa. If you are in Thailand now you will get a Non O. This will cost you but everything will be looked after including the bank financial retirement Then the renewals each year do yourself

And no annual insurance requirements

You need the equivalent of 800,000bt in a bank account for the Non Imm OA. You dont need 2 insurance policies but the 1 policy must cover both the covid for entry and health for the visa. You'll only be stamped in the country for as long as your insurance is valid.

I believe a non-OA visa is only available outside of Thailand from the embassy in your home country. Therefore the deposit requirement is asking for 800,000 baht, or the equivalent of 800,000 baht in your own currency. You're not expected to have a Thai bank account when you are applying for a visa outside of the country.

Hi Brandon

Thanks, yes

only outside Thailand at embassy normally

Some Thai Agencies

Sort it

once there very high fees .

Second demand

For a Non OA

Embassy want a statement

from thailand ,

My Bank never gave me

Internet banking ..

unless I am there they

will not issue me statement .
Steve *******
Phil Charles Andre You dont need a statement from Thailand for the OA unless that's your only bank account with 800,000 in it. If that's the case then transfer it to an account in your own country.

Do you have an app for your Thai bank account? I bank with SCB and their app allows you to receive statements via email for free.

You can travel in the visa exemption (45. Days) and once here hire a firm to help you get the bank account and visa … I did this

As for insurance… try AXA Thailand online for that … I found to be the easiest
