Anyone been asked for these before when applying as a landlord? Specifically the 1st question.

Can I write a letter myself stating I will not engage in any of these activities?

I co own with someone in the uk, could they write a letter stating that I can operate remotely?

I’m not operating under a Ltd company but aware people recently have been approved in my situation recently so some insight from anyone similar would be helpful.

Applying in London

Thanks
Answer summary
The post discusses the experience of someone applying for a landlord visa in Thailand, seeking advice on the necessity of a consent letter regarding remote work. The community shares insights that a self-written letter acknowledging the remote work policy is common and often accepted. Comments clarify that while it's advisable to include signatures from co-owners, the specific consent letter should be written by the applicant to indicate understanding of the working restrictions in Thailand. There are also mentions of additional requirements regarding exit stamps and documentation.

The consent letter is meant to be from you, acknowledging that you will work remotely only and not in Thailand. They can want these from other people sometimes but this "consent letter" specifically is from you, not your employer, to show *you* understand the rules. I got mine in London and the letter requested and written was from me.

Interesting they ask for a Thai exit stamp when there is no stamp when using the electronic gates.

this may be why they say "if possible", that they realise it may not exist. They do say also, boarding pass.

In this case make sure that when leaving Thailand you stamp your passport with an IO. Otherwise, if you need to show the stamp you will get into the nightmare requesting your Entry & Exit travel record at Thai immigration. If you are abroad it will be through your representative and POA. I just got through this myself.

It asks for a "consent letter to acknowledge". In plain English reading - you (not a 3rd party) need to write a letter to acknowledge that you understand you can only work in Thailand remotely and a letter to acknowledge that you will remain in UK until visa processing is complete.

It's become the norm from the UK.

Yes, all very normal, hence I read this forum before and included said information in the documents

Just write a letter from your boss, if that’s you, then state that, maybe put your co-owners signature 2
