What are the requirements and process for obtaining a multiple entry tourist visa (METV) for Thailand from Vientiane, Laos?

This is the official release by the consulate in Vientiane back in 2015 when they approved foreigners legally living/working in Lao could get the 6 month METV

Post on a Lao related group and ask. Most of the foreign workers there have them because they come to thailand for shopping, medical care, etc

1 - You need to show exactly what it says on the announcement

2 - would seem to be that you can show the equivalent of 200K baht in a foreign bank account keep in mind they'll most likely have you log in to your online banking app when you go pay for the visa and show you have the funds

3 - just write on a piece of paper you will trave by land to Nong Khai or Udon or Chiang Rai (where ever you will likely cross) and that should work as they know at that consulate that most people cross by land
