I think in particular Smart T is what would work for me.
I’m currently in the UK & wanting to move to TL with family & want the correct Visa setup
I have a start-up company based out of the USA - if I arrange a contract with a TL company for 12 months does that satisfy the requirement to be collaborating with a TL company for the point of view of a Smart T visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on obtaining a Smart T visa in Thailand while currently residing in the UK. They want to know if having a contract with a Thai company for 12 months will satisfy the requirement for collaboration required for the visa. Community members advise that the Thai company must meet specific requirements and suggest consulting with the Thai partner and the BOI SMART VISA UNIT for detailed guidance.
You need to talk with your Thai partner aka your future employer in Thailand. That Thai company also needs to meet a lot of requirements. Talk with them to see if they can meet the requirements and provide all necessary documents for you on their side. And have them talk with BOI SMART VISA UNIT for detailed requirements. That might be the fastest way to go on that SMART visa route.
He needs a Thai employer that also needs to meet the all requirements to put OP on a SMART visa. Business contract style might vary as long as it can meet the BOI requirements.
