Hi all, just to share my experience. I got my Covid-19 visa extension stamp today at Phuket Imigration. My Visa expired yesterday(2nd April), but when I arrived at 10am yesterday they were not giving out anymore tickets for Covid-19 extensions and I was told to come back next day at 7am.

Got there at 7am this morning and got a ticket to come back at 1pm. Went back at 1pm waited about 1.30hr for ticket to be called, handed in all docs and passport, paid for 1 day overstay and waited for about 1.30hrs for them to return it. The process is very simple if you just listen to what the immigration officers tell you to do and have all correct documents ready.

There were so many people there this morning with visas that expire between 5th - 16th April. They have very clearly advised numerous times not to come until the date your visa is actually due. They are prioritising to see people who are already overstayed or visa is expiring on that day.

So for example if your stamp says 16th April, then go to immigration on 16th April at 7am. Not before! There is no point, you will only be waiting around to then be sent away! So many people were there today creating bigger queues and crowding who just got sent away anyway because they didn't listen.

Please listen and it will make your life and the immigration officer's life alot easier and people will get seen quicker. Poor immigration officer had his head in his hands this morning after having to repeat the above to people about 10 times.

I would say go 1 day before you actual last day, if it is to crowded and you got sent away as mentioned no more tickets available you have 1 day spare.

Do not go a week or even earlier, give the people from Immigration a break and time to handle this all.

Thanks, great advice, PLEASE LISTEN or in this case READ.
