# Successful Phuket DTV Extension —
This is my second time doing an extension at the Phuket Immigration office (though not consecutively obviously). Posting for science and in case anyone needs the reassurance that it is still, indeed, possible.
**The staff and officers were exceedingly kind and helpful at the Phuket Town branch, which was such a breath of fresh air from immigration experiences I've had elsewhere (been in Thailand since 2015).
I know everyone says it's "easier" to just hop on a plane, but for our family of six, with a newborn, it's not easier.
For the Remote Work DTV I submitted:
*Passport & entry documents*
* Passport pages (visa, exit, entry stamps)
* 90-day report receipt
*Financial*
* Bank statements: May, June, July, August. They told me this was "overkill" and that I really only needed August. The first time they wanted 3 months of statements, but that seems to have changed.
* My wife is a follower on my visa, and I submitted a bank statement of our shared American account with the USD equivalent of about 600,000 baht in it. The officer originally wanted me to print out a paper saying that I am "financially responsible for my wife," but when I pointed out her name was on the bank statement alongside mine, he said there was no need.
*Residency*
* Lease agreement
* TM30
*Business/eligibility*
* Articles of Organization
* Secretary of State active status
* IRS EIN
* A printout of a digital product that we sell
* Self-authorization letter (remote work for own company)
* After all this, the officer asked that I go write up a quick resume and print it out to include with my documents. I did this during lunch, and submitted without a queue number after lunch. This wasn't necessary the first time I extended.
*Family*
* Marriage certificate
*Application forms*
* TM7 (completed at the office)
* 1 passport photos (4cm x 6cm)
* Extension fee —1900 baht x 2
Finally, the amazing part —
I submittted it around 1pm on Thursday. They called around 10am the next day and informed me it was ready for pickup. They allowed me to pick *both passports* up, myself (so my wife could stay home), and they even did the 90-day stamp without needing to ask for it. I was amazed at the service and hospitality of the immigration staff, truly.
Anyway, posting for science and reassurance. I know there's other DTV news going on. Godspeed, fellow DTV-ers.
