Hello everyone 👋

I’m on a DT Visa and currently living in Si Racha.

I’m looking for help or guidance with opening a bank account.

If anyone knows:

A bank branch that is foreigner-friendly

Or has recent experience opening an account

Please share 🙏

Documents I already have:

✔ Thai Driving License

✔ Residence Certificate

✔ Yearly Contract

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on opening a bank account while holding a DT Visa in Si Racha. They possess a Thai Driving License, Residence Certificate, and Yearly Contract. However, comments indicate that most banks are reluctant to open accounts for DT Visa holders. Some suggest using condo ownership as leverage at certain branches, while others recommend changing visa types.

The vast majority of banks will not open an account on a DTV. If you own a condo then it may be possible to use that as leverage at some branches but the vast majority of branches simply won’t touch DTV holders with regard to opening new accounts.
