Hi Guys! I'm not sure whether my question is appropriate here. Has anyone experience with the new immigration rules regarding "health insurance" in Thailand. My question is: 1- Are the Western insurance companies operating in Thailand (even as a branch)? 2- If so, it is better to sign the contract within Thailand or is it better to do so in my home country. 3- Which companies offer the best price for their services? 4- How are the rates for instance for ambulance , hospital or even dentists treatments?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the experiences and recommendations related to the new immigration rules in Thailand that require health insurance for expats, specifically focusing on the O-A visa. It raises questions about the presence of Western insurance companies in Thailand, the benefits of signing contracts in Thailand versus the home country, recommendations for the best companies, and the rates for various medical services.

If you are not buying a policy due to your needing to meet the O-A visa requirements...there are much better policies on offer...search the companies listed and others.

If you are buying health insurance inside Thailand to meet the requiremebts of the O-A visa...purchase a qualified O-A policy thru one of the Thai companies in this link.

I would not advise any other at this time. Doubtful you will be able to get the required Certificate of

International Coverage required.
