Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my DTV application experience through the official Thai e-Visa website, submitted to the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Frankfurt.
Category: DTV – Workcation / Remote Worker
Nationality: German
Application location: Germany / Frankfurt
Visa validity: 5 years
Entries: Multiple entry
Remark on visa: Employment Prohibited
Timeline:
* Application submitted and paid: 1 June 2026
* Request for additional document: CV / Lebenslauf
* CV uploaded: 4 June 2026
* Visa approved: 5 June 2026
So the processing was very fast in my case once the requested CV was uploaded.
Documents I submitted:
* Passport biodata page
* Passport photo
* German ID card as proof of current location
* Flight ticket Frankfurt to Bangkok
* Cover letter
* Employment confirmation letter from my German employer
* Employment contract
* Financial evidence for the last 3 months
* Bank statements from my salary account
* Investment / cash account statements
* Salary slips for the last 3 months
Financial evidence:
I submitted proof of funds clearly above the 500,000 THB requirement. I used a combination of bank statements and investment/cash account statements. The important point seemed to be that my name, balance and dates were clearly visible.
Employment evidence:
I work as a Project Manager for a German company. My employer provided a confirmation letter stating that my work can be done remotely using a computer and internet connection, and that remote work while travelling abroad is permitted as long as all professional responsibilities are fulfilled.
Additional document requested:
The consulate requested my CV. I uploaded a short English CV focused on my current job, professional background and remote-work capability. After uploading it, the visa was approved the next day.
My advice:
* Use the exact name from your passport.
* Make sure your passport number is correct.
* Keep all PDFs clear and readable.
* If possible, provide official bank/account statements rather than screenshots.
* Include a simple cover letter explaining your situation.
* Be prepared to upload a CV, even if it is not requested initially.
* Check your email and e-Visa portal frequently after submission.
Overall, my experience with Frankfurt was positive and much faster than expected.
