TLDR : Answer Summary
The question seeks information about the GIFT exemption limits for customs when visiting Thailand for 60 days. The comments provide clarification, noting that the limitations pertain to bringing items into Thailand rather than leaving it. Additionally, there's a lighthearted comment regarding bringing personal items.

Not true. There is often a $ limit for what you can import duty-free that you will be leaving behind as gifts, not taking when you leave.

what you do with it after bringing it through is exactly what they care about and has everything to do with them. It's all to do with import duty/allowances.

Do you mean brining items into Thailand or leaving Thailand?

Leaving and going back home (or to another country) the limits would be based on the country you are going to.
