Question about this visa, being a sponsor and the financial requirements. I want to sponsor my two young adult children. Is the financial requirements an additional $15,000 for each of them along with my requirement?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The financial requirements for sponsoring your children for a visa in Thailand can vary by embassy. If your children are under 20, you may be able to sponsor them without additional financial obligations beyond your own. However, if they are 20 or older, they are considered independent and would need to provide their own financial documentation, which could mean an additional $15,000 required for each. Alternatively, some suggest loaning them the funds for their application.

If your children are u der 20 then you can sponsor them. When I did both my young kids, I only needed 500k thb for all 3 of us. This was taipei embassy
from my understanding they will be applying individually but will need a sponsorship letter for that part if I’m agreeing to be responsible for their living costs. I’m just wondering if the $15,000 requirement will be applicable to them as well with that sponsor letter. We’re all going to be together with our own visas.
The 15k requirement is embassy specific, some do require a separate 15k for each dependent. Email the embassy you are applying from to get confirmation
Anonymous participant 183 correct. I’m not trying to have them as dependents, just sponsoring them. Not sure why that point is being missed, thank you for understanding.
