Hello guys, I'm a journalist for an English publication in Thailand working on a story about immigration during the outbreak and how effective (or not) the process is.

I'd love to chat with people (more than just reading your posts) about your experience, can be anonymous. Please send me a PM if you'd be open to chat.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A journalist is seeking to connect with individuals for a story on immigration experiences in Thailand during the COVID-19 pandemic. Community comments reflect a mix of skepticism, offers to share experiences, and specific incidents regarding immigration procedures within the country. Notable topics include smooth processing in Koh Tao and frustrations faced by expats concerning their return to home countries.

Honestly mate..I hardly think it's worth your time.Another inconclusive assumption based story however you consider newsworthy.Would probably not hold much water as governments continue to manipulate the facts so baseless....Better to write about failing systems due to corruption and inability to not acknowledge their own misdirection Just a thought >>

Koh Tao yesterday was a success story.

Westerners registered their info a few days ago, then Surat Thani Immigration came over for the day.

Everyone was split into different appointment time slots for the day and local volunteers helped keep everything moving.

It still took a while but everyone was processed without any drama and it went very smoothly.

they do a pretty good job too. Don't sleep on Thisrupt or some of the other new media that's sprouted up in the last few years. Some of the better coverage is in places you might not expect.
