Travelling to Vietnam,

Hi guys, sorry to post in here, I've tried to research but finding conflicting info

I'm a British passport holder travelling to Vietnam on Friday for two weeks and I'm flying from BKK.

From what I've read my requirements are the following:

- rapid test

- covid Insurance

And I can get a visa exempt (for 15 days) on arrival.

Problem is I've read on other sites that they've since scrapped the rapid test and that a BNO (British national overseas) cannot apply for a visa exempt on arrival?

If anyone that's done this recently or is just better informed than me can clarify this for me id greatly appreciate

TLDR : Answer Summary
A British passport holder traveling to Vietnam can enter visa-exempt for 15 days. Recent updates suggest that the rapid COVID-19 test requirement may have been scrapped for vaccinated travelers. As of now, COVID insurance is still required, along with filling out a health declaration, which might be subject to change.

It doesnt matter where you fly from its what your nationality is in your passport. Uk holders can enter for 15 days without a visa and need rt-pcr or antigen test before flying $10,000 min insurance download app fill in declaration which could be scrapped soon.Vaccinated and Unvaccinated rules are same.

I'm pretty sure Vietnam restarted their visa exempt entries. You don't need to apply for a visa exemption, the visa on arrival you have to pay for is only for nationalities that don't have visa exempt privileges (like Americans).

I'd have to check about covid test, I thought they scrapped that too if you're vaccinated.

so as a BNO I can turn up and get the visa exempt right? Reason I'm asking is because these evisas seem to be behind at the minute and I would have to apply tonight, do I need one for a two week stay?

from what I understand, Vietnam has still suspended issuing all visas. They lifted their covid entry restrictions but suspended issuing visas on the same day.

2 reasons, mitigate the rapid influx of people and they're trying to clear out foriegners in the country long term (not sure why, seems like a corruption Crack down though).

There's a FB group, "vietnam legal advice", I'd try posting in there just to be sure but I'm pretty sure you can only enter visa exempt for 15 days.
