What is the current situation with quarantine for Phuket? If you test positive on arrival or day 5 is it still ten days in covid jail?
Thanks for help, it's a bit bewildering trying to keep up!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The quarantine requirements for Phuket vary based on vaccination status and entry program. Vaccinated travelers previously faced 7 days of quarantine while unvaccinated ones faced 10 days. However, recent changes indicate that if you enter via test & go and self-administer the tests, the risk of testing positive should be minimized. If a PCR test is positive upon entry or during the quarantine period, the isolation period is at least 10 days.
I've had 3 vaccinations and 2 doses of covid so I pass those tests.
I have a pcr test booked for the day prior to travelling so fingers crossed all of that is fine. If the day 5 test is self administered then that should be fine too ๐
Man, I miss the days of pitching up with a passport and a toothbrush ๐
Depends whether or not you are vaccinated, it used to be 7 days quarantine if you are vaccinated and 10 days if you aren't, however if you have had Covid and have recovered then a certificate of recovery will set you free.
