Driving from BKK to Krabi
Has anyone been driving down south last two days?
We're planing to drive down tomorrow, take the road Around Samut Sakhon.
If you have, or some stretches of the road, were there any extra controls etc?
I expect some, but really don't want to take the chance to end up in some provincial quarantine/lockdown just cause we pass through, so thought I would check if anyone has first hand info on Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi, Petchaburi, Prachuab and Chumphon etc.
TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent travelers from Bangkok to Krabi reported minimal issues while driving. Checkpoints were present but generally did not stop vehicles, allowing drivers to pass without complications. Notably, there were some announcements advising caution but no significant restrictions noted in places like Nakhon Pathom and Prachuab. Some travelers mentioned light curfews in Samut Sakhorn, but overall, the journey seems clear of serious concerns.
