Hello Thai Visa Advice. Has anyone experiences getting visa in Taipei at Thai Trade and Economic Office? I have a work permit and usually get my NON B visa in Malaysia. On their website. ( Thai Trade and Economic Office in Taipei) they say they issue e Visa, however with my passport I can not apply for eVisa yet. What I want to avoid is going to the office, applying for visa and having my application refused. I wrote emails to them already with no response yet.

If you already there, i would say wait till monday and visit the office and just try, if yes, you will get your visa, if no at least you tried.

If you're still in Thailand, talk to your employer, re address the documents and visit another Thai Consulate and do not take the risk in Taipei.

i went a few years ago. at that time [2015] their website stated they gave non-o multiple based on marriage, i called 3 separate times to confirm and each time they said yes they give it. i showed up, they acted as if they had never seen a non-taiwanese or thai person in their office before and said that they do not give that visa out. and after about an hour of talking they just gave me a non-o single entry after stating they only gave tourist visas. things may have changed as that was almost 5 years ago. it is a weird office.

The same Evisa platform used by China, UK, and France will be implemented on the 1st March once agents for Taiwanese tour companys are trained in obtaining visas for their clients.

After 1st March, only those with Taiwanese residency will be able to apply to obtain visas there.

They introduced the Evisa system, only after a using this online system you can visit the trade center and hand over the documents.

a Storm of critics came as people needed to show finances as requirements and the Trade Center did the smart thing in my eyes.

Never commented on all the critics, did not made any statement, just kept quiet, after all it is an extra service what they provide and not there core business.

Visit them and found out what and how they work, ask as much as possible and inform us please. Good luck
