TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses applying for a Thai retirement visa from the UK, asking for recommendations for agencies. Comments suggest various options including using Mots Services or doing it independently through the Royal Thai Embassy in London. There's also discussion about requirements such as having 800,000 THB in a Thai bank, and concerns about a new tax law affecting expats starting in 2023.

It is enforceable from income starting Jan 1st 2024. There is still no clear details on the practicality of the new ruling. I heard 2025 would be when any required tax payments need to be made on 2024 income.
if you apply like 2 months before you then have 90 days to enter Thailand and the day you arrive that's when the visa starts. You can get 2 years out of it without having to deposit money in a Thai bank account.

Have you got 800k in a Thai bank in your name, if so do it yourself for 2000B then extend for 12 months for 1900B? If you're applying "from the UK" check the eVisa website for requirements.

Just do it yourself on the Royal Thai Embassy London website.
