TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around recommended party and beach destinations in Thailand, excluding the popular locations of Phuket, Pattaya, and Krabi. Participants suggest islands such as Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao for their vibrant nightlife and beach scenes. Other options include Hua Hin, Koh Chang, and lesser-known spots like Cha Am and Bangsaen. The consensus is that although some respondents feel that the best party atmosphere can be found in the excluded areas, many alternatives exist that offer enjoyable experiences for nightlife and beach relaxation.

BKK, Pattaya and Phuket are the only real party destinations in Thailand. Sure you can find nightlife elsewhere but will be subdued and boring in comparison. Koh Samui probably the next on the list. For beaches, Koh Kood is my favorite.

Koh Phangan would question that, with their full moon party, two half moons each month and a no moon party. These are followed up with the party after the party, a Shiva moon party and let's not forget the jungle parties.. I have probably missed a few others, but I'm no longer a party person...

Hua Hin is good for the beach and the laid out vibe, but there's no partying here. Forget what AI might say, truth is there isn't, and that's why many people choose to come here, actually.

Soi Bintabat: This lane is considered Hua Hin's main nightlife street, home to numerous beer bars, sports bars with large-screen TVs, and pubs with pool tables. It has a lively and social atmosphere, with popular spots like the Blue Monkey club and Hemingway Bar.

Rooftop Bars: For panoramic views of the city and the Gulf of Thailand, visit the classy White Lotus Skybar at the Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa or Vana Nava Sky Bar atop the Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin. These venues offer cocktails, gourmet bites, and a sophisticated atmosphere, often with DJ music.

Live Music Venues: For dedicated music lovers, places like Rock Zone Snack Bar and Live Music in the Soi 94 area feature professional bands playing rock and blues covers. Other bars and restaurants such as El Toro Loco and those on Soi 51 also host live bands playing various genres.

Most of the mainland beaches don't have clubs on them to speak of... You can't have your cake & eat it, too. You want the islands, so head there. Sounds like you want Samui..
