TLDR : Answer Summary
The best places to do a health check for a retirement visa in Thailand vary by location and are often tied to the immigration office you are using. Common choices include hospitals like Bangkok Hospital in Koh Phangan, which charges around 900 baht for a health check. Some options, like Dr. Donna at Medconsult, even offer video consultations, which can be a more convenient and cost-effective alternative. Note that if you are on a NON-O visa seeking a one-year extension, a health check might not be necessary. However, if you hold an O-A visa, you will need to have mandatory health insurance.

In Koh Samui y’all need to go to the Bangkok Hospital 900 baht, do not go to a clinic, not acceptable

Not sure what you mean by "Retirement Visa". You seem to imply you are already in Thailand. If that is the case, there is no Health Check requirement, for 1yr Retirement Extension of Non-O. Likewise, if you were on an O-A Visa, then the requirement is for mandatory Health Insurance.

I would imagine it depends where you are and what immigration office you are using. I did mine at Bangkok hospital, koh phangan 900 baht . I remember there are five different things they are looking for ,one of them being a chest x-ray.
no I got it in Thailand. I got my non O retirement in koh phangan and my extension in koh samui. Koh Samui requires medical covering 5 things ,chest x-ray being one of them . Koh phangan doesn't require medical certificate or at least they did for the non O . Seems like I have a different experience to everyone else ha ha ☺️

Dr Donna at Medconsult can do these on a video call with you. Probably the cheapest and easiest way.
