TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is interested in obtaining an education visa in Bangkok and is looking for recommendations for good language and Muay Thai schools. Comments suggest that Duke Language School and ALA Language School are both reputable options for language studies, with Duke offering intensive courses. Pro Language School is also recommended for online lessons.

If you want online lessons I can suggest Pro Language School

are they sponsoring education visas?

you cannot get a Non-ED Visa for an online course

@Graham *****
that was what I was trying to get at 😜

for me it worked perfectly and once an immigration officer comes by to take a photo of you, then you need to come to the school for taking a class, but that’s only once a year

I am really shocked that an online school would be approved by the government to qualify for giving education visa 🤷🏻‍♀️what is the cost and the time spent studying requirement from the school?

They also have regular classes, I think thats why they are qualified.

And it's Thailand, give enough money to the government and they will accept it.

I think it was 36k for a year.

but you can’t renew an Ed visa can you?

I never knew there was a real one so I’m curious 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am currently studying at ALA, located in the same area as Duke. I planned to enroll at Duke last June, but they were fully booked and couldn’t accept new students until August. Both schools are good for studying the language, helping you with the necessary papers, and guiding you through immigration. I’m on the intermediate level — focusing on writing and reading. I can communicate with locals now, but sometimes I am afraid to speak continuously as some talk too fast, and I can't catch up. 😅

thanks for you message! How much is it for the course ?

Duke Language School is one of the best in Bangkok, but only for serious learners. 3 hours per day, 5 days per week. You learn really fast though.

i think they changed to 2 hrs a day now. They listened to my feedback. After 2 hrs, everyone zoned out.

yes, I was on 3 hours and the last hour was a bit if a struggle to be honest. Doing 2 hours now and much better.

Rule of thumb: To make it worthwhile, for every lecture hour, a student must study two hours on his own. Two hours plus Two hours time two= Six hours a day. Five days a week. That’s still a lot !

@Randy *****
I do. 2+ hours of self learning every day and only watch thai language t.v etc👍

the rule of thumb is only for university level. We were learning elementary Thai. But I still put in 2 hours a night of work.
