I live in Bhutan and came to Thailand for medical care on a tourist visa. I already had to extended my visa for 30 days because of the timing of my medical treatment. Most of Bhutan is now in lockdown and I am trying to figure out my options in Thailand until lockdown is over in Bhutan. I am currently in Bangkok.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Bhutanese national is currently in Thailand on a tourist visa seeking options for extending their stay due to ongoing medical treatment and a lockdown in Bhutan. They have already extended their visa for 30 days and inquire about further options while in Bangkok. 1. Check your passport. If you entered on a 30 day visa exempt, you would go to Muang Thong Thani. If you entered on a 60 day tourist visa, you will go to Changwattana.

2. You do not need an appointment, however if you want to make an appointment, read this post:

Or if you still need medical treatment, talk with your doctor about the possibilities of extension based on medical reasons.

USA. Though I haven't been there in 3.5 years because I have a full time job on contract in Bhutan.

You can apply for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19. I have not heard of any Americans being rejected for their first 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 yet. See my "Featured/Pinned" post
