What are my options for a border run in Thailand if I'm on a multiple-entry non-B visa and borders are closed?

I'm on a multiple-entry non-B and supposed to do a border run before mid June. Usually I just fly out and in but that's not possible now. I don't want to do the amnesty thing cause I predict massive chaos coming July 31st. Do I have other options? Are any walk- or drive-in borders open in the first 2 weeks of June? Where can I get official info on this?

Thanks for any help and sorry if it has been discussed, I did a search but nothing and too much came up.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks alternatives to a border run for their multiple-entry non-B visa as they cannot fly out and in due to border closures. They express concerns about potential chaos after July 31 and prefer not to rely on the amnesty. Comments suggest they may qualify for an extension of stay based on employment, but all borders are currently closed with no clarity on reopening. For official updates, the Royal Gazette is recommended, though it is primarily in Thai.

GREAT idea! I highly recommend NOT going on amnesty unless you have to.

>Do I have other options?

Yes, you should be able to get an extension of stay based on employment. This extension of stay is valid for one year, and requires doing a 90 day report. However, your business must meet certain requirements. Each immigration office has their own requirements for the extension of stay based on employment, go to the local immigration office and ask them for the handouts.

As of right now, all borders are closed, and we don’t know when they will re-open. We don’t know the future, sadly.

>Where can I get official info on this?

The absolutely official information on this would be from the Royal Gazette, which is written in Thai. I believe this is the official website:

Information about what to do post-amnesty, when it is published in the Royal Gazette, will be published in English on the Thai immigration websites and the newspapers. This group will post whatever information we have in English.

I can see this post turning into a discussion about what may happen in the future, so I’m closing comments. If there is more information you'd like to add, send myself or one of the mods a message and we'll reopen the post.
