Was supposed to go to penang tonight to extend non b. Now malaysia is closed, does anyone know any alternatives outside thailand to do this?

Or can i just leave and come back as tourist/extend by 30 days at immi? And go penang when the door reopen?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Due to Malaysia's closure, expats are looking for alternatives to extend their Non-B visas. Suggestions include considering options in countries like Laos and Myanmar, although obtaining a Non-B visa from these locations may have restrictions. There's also discussion on the possibility of returning to Thailand as a tourist and extending the stay by 30 days at immigration.

Remember though, to get the non-6, your employer must write the letter requesting the visa to the consulate

As far as I know, you can still immigrate to Malaysia until midnight. Not sure if the consulate is working as usual the next days.

This would be the 2nd non b only. The plan was to get 12months in penang, but literally missed the bus by 2 days

A 12 month non-b? I'm guessing this is a multiple entry non-b visa that gets you stamp on 90 days each entry.

I doubt laos will sell you a non-b, they probably want you to go on an extension of stay based on employment

How's, if these non-b are being used as a way to skirt the extension of stay based on employment rules, it may not be possible to get another one. You may be able to get a single entry tourist visa in Laos, or maybe (*maybe*) apply for an extension of stay based on the COVID-19 (if you are from a country that issues that letter)

Laos sell single entry non-b, but only once a year. You should be able to get an extension of stay based on employment though

Burma does. Single entry non-B is no problem. Multiple entry is said considered case by case.
