I am planning to apply in  London for the tourist visa single entry using visit family/friends.  They say they need a letter from family / friends inviting me to stay adding dates etc.  Question is should said family write the letter in Thai or English ?  Anyone done this recently thanks.

When are you travelling I believe you can still get 60 day exemption not changed to 30 yet

that’s what I was hoping to do that but if it’s changing to 30 days I figured it would be better to get a visa here and save a day of going to immigration

Because if it was for tourism I would need to show accomadation booking which i don't have for the whole 6 weeks there.

use a booking service that you can cancel up to 2 days before check-in if they need a booking (which not all do)

Why not apply for a Non–O E–Visa based on Married to a Thai Husband again?

You'll get 90 Days vs. 60 Days, although, the standard fee is £60 Pounds vs. £30 Pounds for a SETV

that Non O visa was a ball ache for me to fill in not to mention I won't have all the documents they require atm eg electric bills etc. I think the 60 day tourist visa would be eaiser

Won't matter at all I'd write it in english, definitely include copy of the thai i/d and house book listing if you can

thanks Tod, the reason is as they wanted to hotel booking etc and I don't have that as would be staying with husband part of the time. So needs his address etc.
