When keeping money for your visa-minimum, do you put it in a separate account from your regular savings in a Thai bank?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Many expats in Thailand recommend maintaining two separate accounts: one for the visa-minimum money required by immigration and another for everyday expenses. This approach helps clarify financial records, making it easier during visa renewal times. However, some people do not see the need for separation and prefer to use a single account despite the potential for messy bank statements due to frequent transactions.

If you want to use the same account to scan to pay then hundreds or thousands of small transactions makes the bank statements and bank book look messy at renewal time.

Some do to keep things separate and not worry about whether it goes below thresholds etc.

Some don’t.
