I plan on traveling out of Thailand once a month for 10 days every month between now and June. Do I need to get a special visa? I currently have a tourist visa that’s going to expire on November 15.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether they need a special visa for monthly trips out of Thailand. They currently hold a tourist visa expiring on November 15. Comments suggest obtaining a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) or using Visa Exempt status for short stays, as well as the potential complexities of exiting and re-entering Thailand frequently. The consensus is that a METV is the most reliable option, as it allows longer stays and reduces travel frequency.

You can do this on Visa Exempt, if not staying in Thailand more than 30 days. It's possible you may encounter problems after the 3rd, 4th entry or more. To decrease this possibility, you can get a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa. And you can stay in Thailand up to 60 days plus a 30 day extension, on each entry. Thus, reducing your trips in and out of Thailand. Another option is stay in your out of Thailand locations longer, say 15 or 20 days, again reducing your trips in and out of Thailand.

Visa Exempt means you can enter Thailand without a Visa. Stamped in for 30 days. (Actually 29). Available to US Tourist and some others.
what is the visa exempt? This is the first I have heard of this.

I came by plane into bkk 4 times in September on exemptions and they never questioned me. I did ask one of the immigration officials at the visa check if it was a problem and he told me coming by air as many times as I want isn’t a problem but by ground at a border crossing twice in a calendar year was my limit.
you can just keep coming back and forth with an entry stamp at the airport! If u try that at a land border you will only get 2 re-entry! If you have a visa or extension of stay you can get a re-entry permit all depends on what your status in Thailand is.

Your post makes no sense. You say in you comment you are in the US yet you have a tourist visa. You want to leave Thailand every month for xx days.
yeah the once a month for 10 days is throwing me off. Lol

multi entry tourist visa. that's your cheapest option.

Thailand Elite visa is right for you. Student visa does not allow you to leave, and since there are criminals gaining the system they can be quite strict on legitimate students. I understand if you might not have the money. Have you considered Laos, Cambodia or Vietnam as they have less stringent visa requirements. Best of luck dear!
seems like a very expensive option since he stated he only needs between now and June

Bit confused with your situtation as you give conflicting ino. You say you are in the US but have a tourist visa expiring in about 20 days. Does this mean you haven't used it yet or are you actually already here? If you are still in your home country and still have time you probably should apply for that METV. However you can probably get away with visa exempts as well for that pattern of travel if you are travelling by air for short stays and then off again to do business elsewhere. In Thai immigration's eyes you not someone trying to live and work there milking the system illegally and must have money and business interests if you are regularly on the go with international flights.

Just grab a multiple entry stamp from the immigration
for this you will need a "multi entry" visa type. . . . . . Something like a multi entry 6-months tourist visa, or a "1-year Extension of Stay Permit" out of a Non-Imm-O visa category, for which you have bought a multi entry permit
