Hi,
I'm looking to stay in Thailand for 1 year (for minimum rental contract), I have a British passport.
I arrived in BKK for the first time last week and got a visa exemption, I'm going to extend this for 30days at the end of Feb, then go back to the UK at the end of March for 10 days.
When I come back to Thailand in April I will get the visa exemption again for 3 months.
After this, I'm looking to get the 6 month multiple entry tourist visa, but would this be accepted as I've already had 2 visa exemptions this year?
I have considered the DTV but as I only intend on staying for the year, I'm not sure the financial commitment and course length needed is worth it.
Just wanted to check if it would be possible to get the 6 month multiple entry tourist visa after 2 visa exemptions?
Thanks
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, holding a British passport, inquires about obtaining a 6-month multiple entry tourist visa (METV) after utilizing two visa exemptions in Thailand. They plan to stay for a year and are considering whether the METV would be available to them post-exemptions. Community response indicates that the METV must be applied for in the home country (UK), and exiting Thailand just before the visa expiration allows for nearly 9 months of stay.
