AT this time there is no update on when Vientiane OR Savannakhet will switch to eVisa

Right now you make an online APPOINTMENT to get in the gate to apply in person.

Watch their f/b pages that's where the consulates are usually posting about any pending change

Dial back the paranoia a notch or three, if you want to use those consulates in Lao, make an appt and go apply
