Have I been done or is this procedure correct ? Am on Marriage Extension. I was due to do 90 day report on 15th April. I forgot and think Immigration (Nong Khai) was closed that day due to Songkran. Anyway went to Koh Pha Ngan that day and returned late Friday 25th. Realised my error and went to Immigration today and got 2000 Baht fine and was told I could have done 90 day report at Pha Ngan. TIA. I suppose just lesson learnt.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The procedure for the 90-day report on a Marriage Extension visa allows filing from two weeks before to one week after the due date without incurring a fine. The individual missed their reporting date due to the Immigration office closure during Songkran and received a 2000 Baht fine for being more than seven days late. It is also noted that reports can potentially be filed at other immigration offices if proper documentation is provided.

You could have actually waited until you needed something at immigration because it’s 2000 for missing one or all of them

Yep, totally correct procedure/fine.. (y)

You can file a 90 day report from two weeks BEFORE the due date until 1 week after the due date without a fine. So the fact that Immigrations was closed on your due date cuts no ice to them as you had a 3 week window to file.

Once you're more than 7 days late you do get a 2000baht failure to file fine when you do your next report. Good news is that fine doesn't increase whether you're 8 days late or 8 months late, it's just 2000baht.

Now as far as could you have filed at an office other than where your primary residence is, that's between you and the office you were trying to file at. They don't have to let you file, BUT they can if you prove you're registered as staying there (TM30 from the hotel) to show you are at an address served by them.

Live and learn, you have 3 weeks to do the 90 day reporting in person.

If it's an extension it's different but if it's a visa with multiple entries then it's possible.

You just do a TM30 first them file a TM47 wherever you are. Simple as that.

remember MANY offices will not let you file a 90 day report if your extension is from out of province even IF you have a TM30 filed for that area. SOME make you go back to where you go the extension to file a 90 day report.

G'day Tod. I think this post answers a question I was going to post. I have to do my first report in June. I'm currently back in Australia, my passport is stamped Non O Retirement, also a stamp that says Stay Permit until 23 June. I'll plan to go to Immi 10 days before (13 June).Thanks.

you don't have to do ANY 90 day report because your 90 day reporting stops counting down when you exit the country and when you come back you NEXT 90 day report is due 89 days from the date you stamp in πŸ™‚

YOU DO have to get back in time to apply for your next yearly extension (which has nothing to do with the 90 day reporting) and at most offices you can do that when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp (so any time after May 23 or so)

good luck with it, set a reminder on your phone 2 weeks before the due date and apply online, see if it will get approved or rejected,

during covid I try to do the 90 day report in Jomtien but it wasn't allowed as I was living in Bangkok and visiting jomtien.

@Jonas ************
yep, some offices don't allow you to apply if you have an extension from a different province

@Tod ********
could have just mailed it and have receipt of date. Much easier than going in person

@Matthew ********
IF their office accepts 90 day reporting by mail (all offices do not allow it)
