TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, the non-immigrant O visa renewal process is still handled at Chaeng Watthana. A significant update is that applicants can now make online bookings to avoid the lengthy wait times associated with the traditional number-taking system.
the O/P is getting an extension based on marriage to a thai (NOT retirement) they can't make a booking using the online appointment system for that reason :(
in section L-1 the only appointment you can make is for a retirement extension. I had someone book it and then show up for a marriage extension and they turned him away and he had to get a queue number and wait.

Tod Daniels. Right. I assumed (perhaps wrongly) the OP was on retirement visa. People don't always specify
A couple more queries please: Is it now necessary to make an appointment or, like before, just pitch up at, in my case, the B Visa desk and get a number? I read somewhere I think that now you need two photos with a blue, not white, background. True?
I attended last week with an online appointment for an application to extend B Visa. Directed to M51, but had to wait about 20 minutes past appointment time. As usual, new requirements not mentioned before, in particular a photocopy of ALL documents provided, which took another 30 minutes and into lunch hour. Another forest gone :-). Do you know if you can use the online appointment app for the return date after "Under Consideration"?
