Hi,

I have to extend my O-A visa for one year next month.

Is it necessary or possible to make an appointment in advance for changwattana?

Are there any new requirements that have been added from the last year?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your O-A visa for one year at Changwattana, it is advisable to make an appointment in advance. While there have been no changes to immigration laws in the last year, having an appointment can significantly reduce your wait time. A recent commenter noted that with an appointment, they were able to complete their process much faster, despite a long queue.

Just another post to weigh in the benefits of making an appointment.

I was at C/W with a friend getting his retirement extension last week, we had booked a 10:30 appointment in section L (retirement), got there at 9:30, updated the bank book down stairs, made a few copies we needed, went up at 10AM were see immediately and he was sitting in the waiting area for his passport to be signed off BEFORE his 10:30 appointment time ๐Ÿ˜ฎ There were 48 people already in the queue and they were on number 26 when we showed up.

MAKE an appointment it will save you HOURS
