TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, many individuals report that Korea is strict regarding visa document requirements. While some have successfully obtained visas like the DTV for cooking classes with thorough documentation, others have faced delays and rejections, often without clear reasons. There seems to be an extra demand for documentation and a firm standard at the embassy, contributing to longer processing times.

Our clients apply DTV (cooking class) from Korea, they request more documents from us but her DTV visa approved.

The process takes more time and they ask for lots of extra documents. If you meet the requirements, it usually works, but I got refused under medical care probably because of weak paperwork. A friend of mine with solid documents and a legit business was rejected three times for no clear reason.

I think this embassy is stricter than others, and has its own firm standards. But since they never explain the reason for refusal, you just can’t know exactly why.
